Anticonvulsants, also known as antiepileptic drugs (AEDs), are a varied assortment of  pharmaceuticals designed to treat epileptic seizures. They are increasingly being used as a therapy to help those who suffer from bipolar disorder, since they work to stabilize people’s moods.
